Descriptions, special category codes and valuation scheme references
These data items are used to enable ratepayers to compare their rateable value with the rateable values of similar properties valued the same way.
Descriptions and description codes of the same type are a primary means of comparing properties we have valued the same way.
You may also wish to use our Special Category codes and suffix as well or instead.
Where available, our Valuation Scheme Reference provided with our summary valuation data definitively groups properties together whose valuations have been carried out the same way.
