We’ve been working hard behind the scenes on something that we think will really help you.
🔍 What’s New?
We’ve significantly expanded the Attribute Lineage and Data Dictionary tooling in myBMT. This means:
- ✅ You can now trace a field from the original business request…
- ✅ Through to its use case and reporting requirement…
- ✅ Through to where it lives in IFS/ERP…
- ✅ And directly into the code generator that builds the view behind the scenes.
It’s a fully transparent journey from requirement ➡ mapping ➡ code — all in one place.
😅 One Small Problem…
All this detail made the interface feel a bit… overwhelming. We heard you.
So we’ve taken a step back and rethought the layout.
🧩 Introducing: The Accordion View
To make things easier to navigate, we’ve introduced a collapsible accordion-style layout for the data dictionary. You can now:
- Smoothly identify the area or category of interest
- Expand it to see relevant views and fields
- Drill further into field-level detail only when you need it
It’s cleaner, faster, and much easier to use — especially for complex reporting or data wrangling work.
