DataSource.SharepointList

Purpose:

Transfer SharePoint list the Database environment for DataWarehouse

Requires:

• Lakehouse Database
• Premium Workspace (with Fabric)

Process Steps:

1. Navigate to Premium Workspace
2. [New>]
3. More Options

4. DataFlow Gen2

5. Power Query Window

6. Get Data

7. More…

8. SharepPoint Online List (NOT Sharepoint List)

9. Enter URL

10. Set Implementation to [2.0]

11. [Next]

12. Choose your list

13. [Create]

14 . Rename Dataflow

15. Select [Cog] on Applied Steps >> Source

16. Select Advance options >

17. Change to Default view
This will reduce the column list to what can be seen in the SharePoint List (No Guids etc.)

18. Move to last Applied step (Navigation)

19. Review the columns
You are looking of lists and fields formatted as Any

20. Expand Lists… Using original name as prefix

21. Reformat Any as Text

22. Set Data Destination [+]

23. [Lakehouse]

24. [Next]

25. Choose (previously created) Lakehouse Database

26. [Next]

27. Choose Destination Settings
if using Automatic … check that all fields are formatted in Column Mapping
If they are not formatted… either Choose manual (not Use automatic settings!) or navigate back to per query and correct the error

In manual you can choose UPSERT controls like Replace or Append

29. Returns to Power Query

31. Returns to Workspace Window

32. Choose Lakehouse

33. Database Explorer Window appears
