Overview
This release introduces a number of improvements across customer, supplier, order, employee, and project data. Most updates focus on strengthening data quality, improving historical accuracy, and preparing for future Common Data Model (CDM) enhancements. No breaking changes are expected for reports.
Key Improvements
1. Better Employee and Person Data
We have made several upgrades to improve the accuracy and reliability of people-related information:
- Improved handling of assignments and job status
Historical job information is now more accurate, and duplicate line manager records have been removed. - Enhanced separation between ‘employee’ and ‘person’ data
A new person-level metadata view has been introduced. This helps ensure that personal details are managed more cleanly and consistently. - Stronger privacy alignment
Email fields now follow the latest hashing standards, and older identifiers have been removed where they no longer add value.
Outcome:
Clearer, more reliable people data for reporting, with a future-ready structure.
2. Customer, Supplier, and Order Data Refresh
A range of customer, supplier, invoice, and order views have been refreshed to maintain quality and consistency. These updates help ensure smoother downstream reporting and better alignment with current CDM structures.
Outcome:
Stable and consistent domain data with no expected impact on current dashboards.
3. Calendar and Reporting Period Updates
Date and period views have been refreshed to ensure that calendar logic (periods, week numbers, financial dates, etc.) remains complete and up to date.
Outcome:
Improved reliability for all time-based reporting.
4. Business Opportunity and Project Enhancements
- Business opportunity and project-related views have been updated for improved consistency.
- The
project_datesview is now available in the beta environment to match the current production version.
Outcome:
Better alignment across sales, project, and pipeline reporting.
5. Technical Improvements (No Customer Impact)
- A new internal
myviewwrapper has been introduced to support our next-generation CDM history framework. - This does not change the behaviour of any views and requires no action from report users.
Outcome:
Improved maintainability and foundations for future enhancements.
6. Finance Data Enhancement
- Enhanced with full account enrichment via the
DIM_ACCOUNTlookup. - Provides clearer and more descriptive financial coding for use in downstream reporting.
Outcome:
Stronger, more interpretable financial metadata.
What You Need to Do
No action is required from report users. All updates are fully compatible with existing reports and dashboards.
